A simple solution that MICMAC advocates is Additive Manufacturing. If you don't know how this can apply to your situation, let us show you.

Additive Manufacturing, what is it exactly?
Additive Manufacturing is a process that allows objects to be created by adding material in successive layers. Conventional manufacturing processes more often tend to subtract material to achieve the desired fits and forms.
3D printing, welding, thermal spraying are all Additive Manufacturing.
To help you picture it, 3D printing, welding and thermal spraying processes are some examples of Additive Manufacturing (AM).
Three inputs are needed for AM: the 3D model, the materials (bio, plastic, metallic, ceramic, glass, wax, etc) and energy.
If you wish to know more about this subject, we invite you to do your own research on the internet or, even better, give us a call because you’d have more Information than what you can read in one year.
Additive Manufacturing: How is it used in a house?
What does this mean for you? In fact, possible applications for your home are spare parts for your old broken equipment, models for making crafts, or just about anything, practical or not, that you’ve thought of and would like to make.

In other words, we bring your ideas to life and contribute to the Maker Culture, FabLabs and others of this world.
Additive Manufacturing: How can it be used in a business?
For your business, the possibilities and potential benefits are enormous! This could even allow you to be greener by establishing production capacity where it matters. Depending on the application, AM can also be used to produce end-use parts without the need for post processing.

It is also the ideal tool for product development in an open innovation context as it helps validate fit, form and function. On the shop floor, it can be used for tooling development and even the production of machining, molding, inspection and assembly tooling or fixtures.

Have you thought about the range of solutions that you could offer to your maintenance department in terms of spare parts, custom parts to improve equipment or specialized tooling?
